MENDIP HILLS & CHEW VALLEY AREA OF OUTSTANDING NATURAL BEAUTY
Shortwood Barn is a contemporary barn conversion in the Mendip Hills.
It's the perfect place for groups to relax in the open plan space whilst enjoying the quiet and secluded rural environment.
The surrounding area offers great cycling along with the opportunities to sail, fish, shoot, horse ride , rock climb and experience gliding and pot holing.
The Barn is an easy and delightful walk to a great local pub, The Litton, and there are very pleasant walks to other neighbouring villages with good pubs.
The Barn is wonderfully rural, yet within very easy reach of 3 great cities.
Wells is 7 miles away and has a marvellous Cathedral along with the Bishops Palace, hosting world class choral and classical concerts.
Bath and Bristol are 12 miles away, and offer a huge diversity including theatre, festivals, concerts, comedy and shopping.
We benefit from a rich diversity of culture which also includes Glastonbury, Cheddar, and Wookey Hole - all very conveniently located. A 35 minute drive gets you to Longleat or a little further the wonderful NT stately home of Stourhead.
